    Their economic activities are nomadic pastoralists and farming, while some are doing small scale business. The village is known for general worship of idols under the control of demonic spirits, in which, witchdoctors are the mediums. Some common idols worshipped are stars, the moon, and charms. The villagers believe these idols are the source of life and protection.

     

    Church Progress:

    As a result of evangelization/witnessing by Missionary Peter Losekon Ekiru, the church members enrollment is increasing rapidly. 66 adults, 46 youth, and 30 children have given their lives to Christ and worship together regularly.

     


    Updates from the field:

    December 2019

    In December, Missionary Peter again shared the Gospel with the people in the Village of Nakwakitela, and 10 people accepted Christ and 25 were baptized. He is discipling a class of 3 students. An average of 146 members met each Sunday for worship this month in both the mother church and daughter church combined. He is looking to do an outreach in the Village of Kareko in the future. Peter is grateful for the support and prayers from Share International.

    October 2019

    In October, Missionary Peter shared the Gospel with the people in the Village of Nakwakitela, and 4 people accepted Christ. He is discipling a class of 5 students. An average of 128 members met each Sunday for worship this month. He is looking to do an outreach in the Village of Ikalale-akamar in the future. Peter is grateful for the support and prayers from Share International.

    September 2019

    In September, Missionary Peter shared the Gospel in the Village of Nakwakitela, and 3 people accepted Christ. He disciples a class of 5 people. 123 people attended church services each Sunday. He is looking to do an outreach in the Village of Lowoidapal in the future. Peter is grateful for Share International.

    August 2019

    In August, Missionary Peter continued to minister in his home village, and 3 people gave their lives to Christ. An average of 100 members attended church service each Sunday in the mother church.

    July 2019

    In July, Missionary Peter ministered in Nakwakitela Village, and 8 people gave their lives to Christ. An average of 76 members attended church each Sunday in the mother church, with 12 new members.

    June 2019

    In June, Missionary Peter shared the Gospel with 38 people in the Village of Nakwakitela, and 2 people accepted Christ. He is discipling a class of 3 people. He is looking to plant a church in the Village of Kemur in the future. Peter is grateful to Share International for making it possible for him to be a missionary and do God’s work.


    April 2019

    Peter is the Missionary/Pastor to the church in Kapese. The average attendance was 56 believers each Sunday in April. They added four new members this month. They did an outreach to the Village of Nakwakitela, where four people accepted Christ, and those four are now attending discipleship classes. Peter has 5 people trained to help with the work of evangelism and elders in the church. He also has 3 daughter churches: Kalouchole; Kainaki; and Ikale Akwaan, where 132 people met for worship and teaching. They added six new members this month. They are looking at doing an outreach to the village of Kaloucholem in the near future.
