    Moru-Arot was initially known as Kalokipe, a Turkana name meaning a place of Satan. The village is known for idol worship under the control of demonic spirits, witchdoctors, wizards, and sorcerers.

    The economical activities include goats, camels, donkeys, and sheep. Other activities include basket weaving, charcoal burning, bead making, and agriculture.

    Church Progress:

    Upon the evangelical outreach by Nicholas, the church has 34 Adults, 21 women, 13 men, 28 youth, and 51 Sunday school children, who worship under trees regularly.

    July 2019

    In July, Nicholas continued to mentored 2 members of his church who will be assisting him in his ministry. An average of 80 members attended church services this month. He prays that one day they might have a permanent structure to worship in. Nicholas is grateful for the support and prayers that he receives.

    In June, Nicholas mentored 2 members of his church who will be assisting him in his ministry. An average of 55 members attended church services this month. He prays that one day they might have a permanent structure to worship in. Nicholas is grateful for the support and prayers that he receives.

    In April, Missionary Nicholas had an average attendace of 61 believers attend church each week. He currently has 6 members in Discipleship Class. He has 2 elders/evangelists trained to help him with his work in the ministry.

    Missionary Nicholas is the pastor of the church in Moru-Arot, where the average attendance was 64 this month. He has two elders who are trained to help him with evangelism in the area. He is planning to do an outreach in the village of Nakorinyang in the future.
