Katilu has a population of 3500 nomadic pastoralists. The villagers go to shrines (ngasenon) where the witch doctors are the mediums. Some common idols of worship are the stars, moon, charms, and the like. The villagers believe them as the source of life and protection.
The economic activities of Katilu village include livestock products, agriculture, and small scale business.
As the result of James Muchu’s witnessing campaign to Katilu Village, there are 10 adults, 5 youth, and 30 Sunday school children.
