    With a population of more than 500, their economic activities include nomadic pastoralists and farming, while some are doing small scale business in Nabwelpus Village. The village is known for general worship of idols under the control of demonic spirits in which the witchdoctors are mediums. Some common idols they worship in the area are the stars, moon, and charms. The villagers believe these idols are the source of life and protection.

    Church Progress:

    As a result of the evangelizing and witnessing by missionary Dominic Ekuom Ekiru, the church enrollment is increasing rapidly. 80 adults have given their lives to Christ and worship together regularly. The number of born again youth is 4, and there are 57 Sunday School children.

    August 2019

    In August, Missionary Dominic went back to the Village of Kapokor and shared the Gospel. 204 believers attended Sunday church services in the mother church and the daughter church. Dominic is grateful for the support.

    In May, Missionary Dominic had an average of 91 believers attend church each Sunday in the mother church in Nabwelpus Village. He has 6 people in discipleship class, 5 of whom can freely testify. He has 4 evangelists/elders trained to help him with his work in the ministry. 34 believers attended church in the daughter church in Kapokor Village.

    February 2019

    Attendance increased significantly in February, with an average of 101 attending each Sunday. They did an outreach to the Village of Kapokol (population 300). They had 60 people attend services there.

    January 2019

    Dominic is the missionary in the Village of Nabwelpus. There were about 47 people that attended the church regularly this month. They did an outreach to the Village of Kapokor (population 500), where 6 people gave their lives to Christ. Those 6 are also enrolled in discipleship class. They had 29 people attend services in Kapokor. They are planning to do an outreach to the Village of Nakabaran (about 5 kms away) in the near future.

    Prayer Needs

    – There are several children who have graduated from primary school and need money for school fees to attend secondary school this year

    – More rainfall

    – Church construction funds for the churches in Nabwelpus and Kapokor
