Share International Health Program (SIHP)

While the STORM teams provide limited healthcare, Share International has a long-term medical service based out of the town of Lodwar. It provides daily & weekly medical care to nearby residents and in the remote villages that Share International has reached.

SIHP serves a population of 40,000 in Turkanaland. SI entered into partnership with Real Medicine Foundation (a humanitarian organization supporting people living in poverty-stricken areas) about two years ago and is accomplishing more than ever! Each week, the Clinic in Lodwar sees about 65 patients and over 280 are treated in remote villages through mobile clinics. About 1,580 patients benefit from healthcare education programs each month. However, in reality even more benefit, because family and friends who accompany each patients also receive education.

SIHP’s mission is to serve the Lord through sharing the Gospel with and counseling patients while providing excellent medical services. More than 40 patients received Christ as Savior through SIHP in 2011!
