Blessing Blankets

Emily Huff has been crafting and sewing these beautiful prayer blankets she calls “Blessing Blankets” for years to support children in Turkanaland and in India. These polar fleece blankets have stars quilted onto the blankets with the prayers written on small pieces of cloth which are sewn under each star. Purchase one of her custom blankets and she will help you collect prayers for the newborn baby and sew each one into the blanket. These make great gifts for an expecting couple! The Rafiki Run

The Rafiki Run (Rafiki means “friend” in Kiswahili) is an effort to offer runners an opportunity to take on the challenge of a race to make a difference in the lives of our friends in Kenya and in India.   Between 2009 and 2011, a small group of children have participated in the Rafiki Run and have raised over $9500 for the children in Kenya and India through running in kids’ marathon events. This fundraising program helps inspire advocacy for the poor in Kenya and India and honors the children in the Children of the Kingdom sponsorship program.
